GigaPX Tools - Solutions for gigapixel images

The complete toolkit for your gigapixel images

Convert, crop, resize, split and merge — with an integrated browser-based viewer

GigaPX Tools is a set of useful functions to manage huge pictures easily. It supports, both for input and output, three of the most used file formats for gigapixel images: RAW, TIFF/bigTIFF and KRO with 8-bit or 16-bit color depth.

Format conversion converts gigapixel images between the supported formats.

Crop cuts out the black borders or extracts a portion of the picture.

Resize scales the image down to any dimension — handy for previews, web publishing or printing.

Split divides the big picture into small tiles, so you can retouch only the ones you need with Photoshop, Gimp or similar.

Merge reassembles the tiles back into the gigaimage.

The built-in Web viewer exports a tile set ready for PanoJS3 and OpenSeadragon.

Our Clients

"I started taking gigapixel images in 2010. Those early images could still be edited in Photoshop. But over the years, my images grew bigger exceeding Photoshop’s size limit for files. That’s when Michele’s Gigapxtools came to the rescue! Even more, Michele proved to be a very nice and gifted guy who was of great help in many ways. I can highly recommend his tools to every photographer who thinks big!"

Michael von Aichberger - supergigapixel.com

"I'm so glad that I found GigaPX Tools by Mike recently. They provide the exact solution to my problem: Editing gigapixel images in Photoshop that are too large for Photoshop. The tool set works fast and reliably. Mike provides great and very responsive support. And for Mac, there does not even seem to be an alternative. But why bother? With GigaPX Tools you have a perfect solution!"
